CONCLUSION
While child recruitment is an old phenomenon, the involvement of terrorist and violent extremist groups has brought up a number of new challenges. In this context and given the urgency to provide rapid and effective solutions, States can benefit considerably from learning from each other. Promoting cross-border exchanges is the opportunity to draw from good practices and lessons learned when designing laws, policies, institutions and programmes.
